Microsoft
Outlook Setup
These instructions
can be used for Exchange and Windows Messaging as well.
Open your Outlook (or
Exchange, or Windows Messaging) program.
Click on Tools, and scroll down to Services (as shown
below).
On the Services
window (shown below), select Internet Mail.
Click Properties to configure your settings.
If you don't see the Internet
Mail option, click Add. This will bring up a screen which will allow you to
select Internet Mail. After making the selection, return to the Services window and
choose Properties to configure your settings.
In the Internet Mail
screen (shown below) make sure the General tab is selected and enter the following:
- Under Personal Information,
the Full name is the name you want to appear next to the email.
- The E-mail address should
be your username@jvlnet.com (all in lower case).
- Under Mailbox Information,
the Internet Mail server should be mail.jvlnet.com (all in lower case).
- The Account name is your
JVLNET username (all in lower case).
- The Password is your
JVLNET password (all in lower case).
Click on Advanced
Options.
On the Advanced Options screen
(shown below), enter mail.jvlnet.com. This is your outgoing mail server.
Click OK.
On the screens that
follow, continue to click OK until you are back at the main Outlook screen.
You should be properly setup to use the program!
